Sunda Kelapa (North Jakarta)


Sunda Kelapa is the name of a port and surrounding places in Jakarta, Indonesia. This port is situated in the village Penjaringan, Penjaringan subdistrict, North Jakarta.

Although now only a name Sunda Kelapa one port in Jakarta, this area is very important because the villages around the port of Sunda Kelapa is a forerunner of the anniversary of Jakarta which is set on June 22, 1527. At that time owned by Royal Palm Sunda Sunda capital in Pakuan Pajajaran or Pajajaran (now Bogor) is captured by the troops Demak and Cirebon.
